Republican Decree approving the permission of the Minister of Finance to guarantee Aluminum Company of Egypt

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi signed Law No. 1 of 2025 authorizing the Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to guarantee the Aluminum Company of Egypt, one of the largest companies of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries.

The decision comes to implement its financial obligations and commitments, in accordance with the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Norwegian company Scatec, or the project company it establishes in Egypt to implement the project using the (P2P) system, and to ensure the fulfillment of the company’s financial obligations and commitments, arising from the implementation of the aforementioned agreement.
