The Minister of Public Business Sector and the Governor of Qena on an inspection tour of the factories of the aluminum complex in Nag Hammady

Within the framework of his continuous field tours to follow up on the progress of work and find out the latest developments in the implementation of new projects that are being implemented, the operating plan, production volume, performance rates, expansion of manufacturing industries, and the introduction of new products to provide the needs of the private sector for production requirements locally in accordance with the plan to reduce imports and increase exports, Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Public Business Sector, today, Saturday, accompanied by Major General Ashraf Al-Daoudi, Governor of Qena, on an inspection tour inside the factories of the Misr Aluminum Company in the city of Naga Hammadi, to find out the company’s achievements in terms of development and modernization of the production lines and the operational plan for the new machines in light of the expansion of the manufacturing industries, and the reflection of that. On business results and performance indicators and increasing production and sales for the local and export markets.

  The tour began in the presence of a number of members of the House of Representatives and executive leaders in the governorate and the company, Engineer Mohamed Al-Saadawi, President of the Holding Company for Metallurgical Industries, and Engineer Mahmoud Ajour, President of Misr Aluminum Company. The factories, new production lines, workshops and production units were inspected, and the development and modernization of production lines and machines, and the resulting results. The production volume reached the maximum design capacity for the first time in the company’s history since its establishment. Sales and marketing policies were reviewed and compatible with the requirements of international organizations regulating the industry and new markets were opened. The tour witnessed an inspection of the nursery for differently abled children, and infrastructure development projects, and the current and future operating plans were reviewed, which showed an increase in production capacity to reach about 310 thousand tons annually and an expansion in the manufacture of production requirements necessary to localize the industry and replace the local product and rely on it to reduce imports and increase exports. We are keen to provide the needs of private sector factories operating in fields based on aluminum products. Dr. Esmat followed the development of the annual sales volume, which amounted to about 30 billion pounds, of which approximately 15 billion pounds were export sales to foreign markets, and the growth of the company’s profits to nearly 5 billion pounds, as well as the investments made to develop production cells and units to meet the needs of the local market.
